BOOK OF DAYS is now available!

BUILDING PASSION Gets New Life

My first published book is BUILDING PASSION, published by Harlequin American Romances back in July of 1983. It was # 15 in the series, which means it was bought long before the series began coming out. Awe-Struck E-Books will be republishing BUILDING PASSION late in 2006.

The story is set int he Florida building trade and resort scene, and one of the rules I broke was to make the heroine's younger brother and sister important characters in the plot. I also went into the hero's viewpoint after consulting with the editor on ways to make his motivation more transparent. On top of that, the heroine was the first on a Harlequin cover to be wearing blue jeans!

BUILDING PASSION sold over 107,000 copies in the U.S. and Canada, went into four translations and topped out at selling a quarter of a million copies world wide. I hope it will get a good reception this second time around.

BOOK OF DAYS to be available in paperback!

I am delighted to announce that in addition to being released in electronic (e-book) format through Dragon Tooth Fantasy, my upcoming debut fantasy, BOOK OF DAYS will now also be made available in trade paperback, as well! I have signed the contracts as of this morning, and Double Dragon anticipates being able to release the print version of the book at the same time as the electronic version.

More details to come as they're made available. Meanwhile, my day is made!

I found my author copies of The Healing in my inbox this morning. I can only imagine the novella's release isn't far in coming. Venus Press usually releases books on Wednesdays, but I didn't see an announcement on their front page. Perhaps it's a bit early? I usually know when the VP newsletter arrives.

Donate books to help hurricane survivors

Fallen Angel Reviews (FAR) is coordinating an effort to collect books for children and adults, including coloring books and crayons, to be donated to the people displaced by Hurricane Katrina. FAR will be sorting the books so that they are appropriate to the shelter they are being delivered to. Used books are acceptable, but coloring books should be in new or like-new condition. They hope to be able to deliver at least the first books within a week, but will gladly accept donations through September 30th.
